Online Training Database Application Miami Florida
Subway Employee Training contracted MVI to develop a web application that presents Subway published operational rules to the staff of 25,000 stores in multiple languages on a real time basis via the internet. The application enables the trainers to load lesson from a Miami offices which will be viewed by staff members in 70 countries with in minutes. The bringing of new sandwich to the market has become a simple project where years ago this took many months and much higher costs. MVI created a classroom online which monitors those that took the course and tests each staff member and reports scores and reminds others to take the new course via email. Creating this classroom online has simplified the process of educating the employees and informing them about new procedures and other operational issues.
Trainers create lessons, and in turn can create tests for the lessons, place lesson in groups, assign lessons and tests to groups of employees or individuals. Students log onto the system, take tests, and view test results instantaneously. Teachers and Supervisors can view reports to gauge how students are performing against state benchmarks. A separate offline application was developed for importing XML content into the backend database. The application will scale to many thousands of simultaneous users.
Following the completion of the original application for Subway Headquarters, MVI was hired to modify the original application for use with additional testing products. The lessons and testing are the prime method to drive staff awareness of new products, advertising campaigns, new procedures and other corporate information.
